Using the medium of athletics, sports and physical activities, Memphis Athletic Ministries or MAM is creatively providing opportunities for urban young people to grow and mature physically, emotionally and spiritually. MAM facilitates structured athletic programming for our youth ministries. While playing sports is healthy and fun, the true goal is to foster yet another vehicle for youth ministers to build relationships with young people and bring them face to face with the Good News.

UYI's mission is recruiting, training, resourcing and deploying youth workers to work with young people in their own environments. As a result of this ministry, over 100 youth workers are actively interfacing with streetwise kids. . .challenging them to make better life choices and letting them know that following Jesus is a much better option than the what the streets offer.
UYI is the model for cities throughout the U. S. for creating this unique concentrated effort to train and fund full-time outreach workers who seek to empower teens and pre-teens to become healthy, productive members of society. UYI workers go where kids are, building relationships, serving as volunteers in their schools, providing holistic after-school programming, and engaging them in various summer camping and enrichment activities. Several of the ministries employ a trained educational specialist to help young people succeed academically.
